Benchmarking

Any organisation committed to continuous improvement understands the importance of benchmarking. Peer comparison allows you to identify best practice, learn from others’ experiences, and implement changes to address service deficiencies.

Under Activity Based Funding, public hospitals should be even more interested in benchmarking as they seek to reduce length of stay, improve safety & quality, and achieve National Efficient Price.

We are committed to helping you understand and implement benchmarking, and are both supportive of and complementary to the Health Roundtable. We can help you use data for both internal and external benchmarking. Do you know your areas of strength and weakness? Do you know which hospitals have better outcomes for key high cost and/or volume DRGs, and which of their initiatives you can implement?
